Children Buried Alive In the Amazon
My God in heaven, have mercy on these little frail souls. I was like shouting no in front of the computer while the child was being buried, this is so horrifying and so inhumane, and I can not believe that this is happening (in this day and age).
It’s difficult for me to express how disturbing this story is. I couldn’t bring myself to watch the video.
Those of us who live in contemporary, industrialized society probably often forget that all humanity once lived like this. Perhaps not with these kinds of rituals or practices, but the state of human understanding was once like this everywhere. Morality, law, ethics, all of these things is developments in the intellectual evolution of our species.
Something must be done to stop these KILLINGS. I beg UN and other similar organizations to intervene immediately.

Apocalypto 2: The Adventure of Captain John Smith
This movie shows how settler colonialism takes place in an undiscovered nation or area. Indeed there are advantages and disadvantages in a country being colonized.
One of the advantages of colonialism that is present in the movie is the spread of Christian theology that promotes equality and education for all.
And here are some disadvantages that I have noticed while watching the movie:
· Unfamiliar system of government, a complete loss of culture, loss of land, and living conditions drastically change because land gets taken away –maybe it will take place after a long period of time in the story.
· Ownership in general –those European who migrated from their native land inherited the property of their family who joined group who colonized that nation.
· A lack of respect for traditions –at first the colonizers tries to communicate
· Enforced religious views –like what happened to the female protagonist
· Risk of disease –like what happened to the colonizers due to starvation
· Dominant class that comes with the colonial power –it is when some of the families of the colonizers from Europe came along.
· The native people are considered savages and of no worth whatsoever; therefore, lack of respect.
· Native way of life is forcefully changed. –like what happened to the female protagonist, she was forcibly changed to be accepted in the new society where she is in now.
